E-MRS Graduate Student Awards are intended to honor and encourage graduate students whose academic achievements and current materials research display a high level of excellence and distinction. E-MRS seeks to recognize students who show promise for significant future achievement in materials research.

To be eligible for the E-MRS Graduate Student Award, the applicant must be registered as a graduate student with a PhD thesis research program closely related to the scope of one of symposia held during the E-MRS 2013 Spring Meeting. The applicant is the main author of a manuscript and must be entrusted with the (oral or poster) presentation of the paper. In addition, the applicant must pay the registration fees for students.
